Survival in space and in colonies like these to be built on Mars requests sustainable food production and oxygen supply. Space plant cultures are among the ways to achieve that. Our team explored into the parameters of such a project and constructed a simulation of a space culture in which…snails are the astronauts! Our team won one of the 8 awards at the 9th National Experiment and Construction Contest and a place in the 2017 Science on Stage main event in Debrecen, Hungary.
