The proteins constitute a class of chemical molecules, which are involved in various cellular processes. Protein’s architecture is linked with its function. The determination of a protein structure contributes to the understanding of its function and to rational drug design. In action “Structural determination of Proteins”, the visitors will have the opportunity to learn the steps which lead to protein expression and isolation, as they carried out in a research laboratory, aiming to study the three dimensional structure. Additionally, they will learn how scientists use these data in drug discovery.
